Job Description

We are looking for a psychologist that provides support and follow-up for students who are referred or in whom developmental difficulties (learning and socio-emotional aspects) are detected, as well as for those receiving external support outside of school. Works with parents and collaborates with them in addressing their children's needs. Serves as a liaison between the school and external therapists to develop individualized intervention plans. Keeps school leadership and the psychology coordination team informed about each case throughout the school year. Recommends emotional assessments and/or treatments when necessary.

Collaborates in the recruitment process and is responsible for evaluating potential candidates for teaching positions in the preschool department. Advises and supports teachers in managing their classrooms and specific cases. Provides support and follow-up for newly admitted students. Organizes talks and workshops for parents, teachers, and assistants as part of the school’s prevention and awareness program.

Required Skills/Abilities

Skills and Qualities:
Active listening, effective communication, empathy, organization and planning, discretion, assertiveness, proactivity, a positive and service-oriented attitude, kindness, professionalism, and a pleasant demeanor. Ability to manage groups of preschool-aged children. Knowledge in the detection and prevention of developmental issues in early childhood. Proficiency in administering and interpreting psychometric tests for staff selection reports. Pedagogical knowledge to effectively manage and guide groups of young children.

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a postgraduate diploma or Master’s degree in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology. Courses in child development, learning difficulties, developmental disorders or challenges, psychodiagnostics, and psychomotricity. Proficient in English
