Oxford Sixth Form College are looking to recruit a part time, permanent, Assistant Houseparent to work closely with and support the Houseparents and Head of House in the delivery and development of the College's boarding.

 

The successful candidate will have a strong pastoral ethos and commitment to the care and welfare of young people.

 

Experience in a boarding role is desired but not essential, as is an understanding of National Boarding Minimum Standards (NMBS).

 

Excellent ICT, organisational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, are also essential.

 

Our focus is upon finding someone who shares our sixth form college values and can successfully fulfil the requirements of the job description below.

 

Please note that this post does not include the provision of accommodation within a boarding house; it is a ‘live-out’ position.

 

The post holder will work 4 days on and 4 days off, Sunday to Thursday 7pm-10pm. Friday, Saturday 7pm-11pmalthough precise working hours are flexible depending on the job requirement and workload.
