We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our Mathematics Faculty, creating engaging and inspiring learning experiences that foster curiosity and passion for the subject. You will set high expectations for student interactions, ensuring quality outcomes for all learners.

This role involves delivering CIE IGCSE Mathematics at Key Stage 4, with a clear progression pathway for students to undertake the appropriate mathematics course within the IB Diploma Programme at Key Stage 5.

Your teaching will promote exploration, innovation, and creativity, encouraging students to develop both content knowledge and essential skills. Lessons will be carefully sequenced to build on prior learning while inspiring students to engage in personal exploration beyond the curriculum. You will also play a key role in motivating students to extend their learning through enrichment opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities

 

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status with at least five years of teaching experience, including a minimum of three years teaching IBDP Years 1 & 2.
  • A university degree or higher in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching students aged 11-18 in a secondary school setting.
  • Preferable but not essential – IB Category 2 training in Mathematics AI/AA.
  • A strong commitment to professional development, demonstrating a lifelong learning mindset.
  • Experience delivering extracurricular activities and participating in externally organized events to enrich student learning.
  • Strong pastoral care experience, supporting students' personal and academic growth.
  • Evidence of being a collaborative team player, working across subject areas to develop transferable skills in students.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and adapt curricula to engage and challenge students.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching, learning, and student engagement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse school community and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the passion and drive to measure and demonstrate student success.
  • A proven record of being results-oriented, with the ability to map efforts against key performance indicators (KPIs) to showcase the impact of effective teaching.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with flexibility.
