We are looking for a Head of Section for our Leadership Camps from June 19 to July 27, 2026. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop and oversee daily and weekly schedules for all camp counsellors, ensuring each area of camp is always covered with the appropriate staffing
  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of counsellors assigned to their section
  • Ensure risk assessments, safety protocols, and risk mitigation are applied consistently
  • Oversee daily operations within their section: schedules, equipment, transitions
  • Conduct daily briefings and debriefings with their team
  • Coach counsellors in leadership and group management techniques
  • Monitor team performance, behaviour, and energy levels and act when needed
  • Ensure all campers enjoy a high-quality, safe, and enriching experience
  • Manage conflicts, emergencies, or behavioural issues with professionalism

YOUR PROFILE AND COMPETENCES

 

  • Head of Junior section: 1–2 years’ experience leading small teams
  • Head of Senior section: Several years’ experience; managing complex sections and higher-risk operations
  • Experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record in supervising, mentoring, and supporting staff
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively
  • Ability to build trust within the team, approaching issues with empathy and fairness, understanding team dynamics, and resolving conflicts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Quick thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve issues on the spot and ensure camp operations run smoothly
  • Fluent English and proficient in another European language
  • Clean criminal records
