Job Description

The British College of Brazil (BCB) is seeking an IBDP Coordinator to join its international academic community.
 
  • Ensure the IBDP programme is implemented correctly and aligns with the IB Standards and Practices
  • Monitor the delivery of the programme to ensure assessment deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Require students to understand requirements regarding academic honesty and disseminate any necessary information. Enlist parental support for achieving academic honesty.
  • Use data to monitor and track student progress. Take a proactive approach to recognising student successes while also organising actions to tackle underperformance.
  • Work collaboratively to support students with university applications and follow through with IB procedures for sending results to universities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through events, activities, and projects
  • Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues
  • Plan and deliver effective lessons for Secondary students 

Required Skills/Abilities

Requirements:
  • Teaching degree with QTS
  • Experience and knowledge with IBDP
  • Strong classroom management, organisation, and teamwork skills
Desirable:
  • Previous international teaching experience 
  • Current middle leadership experience
