The teacher is expected to support curriculum implementation, student engagement, and innovation within a dynamic, inclusive international environment.

 

The role:

As a Korean Liaison Officer, your responsibilities will include:

 

I. Parental Engagement

  • Act as first point of contact for Korean families once they join the school (Primary and Secondary)
  • Provide support and translation and liaising with the Korean Community on a demand basis
  • Provide translation services for Secondary and Primary student-parent-teacher conferences and meetings with parents.
  • Respond to telephone requests from Korean parents regarding school operations;
  • Contact Korean parents on behalf of teachers and school administration to provide accurate and timely support
  • Plan and facilitate Korean coffee mornings (Primary & Secondary) providing translation and follow up with minutes to Heads of Schools
  • Develop parent liaison and relationships ensuring that word of mouth comments are positive
  • Always provide focused and high-quality customer care to ensure premium service levels

 

II. School Support

  • Translating regular and occasional documents into Korean including the school newsletter
  • Preparing transcripts and other documentation for students applying for Korean universities
  • Assist with Korean translation for marketing collateral and other communications as requested
  • Keep the school in touch with the mood/concerns of the Korean parent community through feedback meetings with Korean families
  • Build and develop strong and positive relations with Academic and Admissions staff
  • Assist the Higher Education Team with advice about Korean universities and support for students applying for Higher Education in Korea

III. Others

  • Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure and/or International Child
  • Protection Certificate (ICPC), or equivalent for countries lived in outside of the UK.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for working in China
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
  • Contribute positively to the morale and community spirit in the school
  • Work effectively with different teams
  • Assist in whole school marketing initiatives and contribute to the growth of the school
  • Operate at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school
  • Meet responsibilities with regard to health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant legislation and conform to professional and ethical requirements
  • To promote and adhere to the Mission and Core Values of the School
  • Promote and embody The Empower Us Framework

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

 

Fluent Korean speaker with high levels of English proficiency

Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in the UK

Compliance with visa requirements for working

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
