NACIS Shanghai is looking to recruit several Primary Class Teachers, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the Primary School

The role:

We seek a few qualified Primary Class Teachers to join where your focus will be:

  • To teach Guided Reading, Phonics, English, Thematic Learning, Visual Arts and Extended Maths to Grade 1 or 2 students, while be a Homeroom Teacher for that class.
  • Or, to teach a few classes of Grade 3 to 5 English and Guided Reading, while the national teacher will be Homeroom Teacher.
  • To demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge.
  • To ensure that planning, preparation, teaching, recording, assessment and reports meet the needs of the students and expectations of the school.
  • To promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s Primary curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved.
  • To foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.
  • To actively contribute to wider school development and growth.

 

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher status with a minimum of three to four years teaching experience in Primary.
  • Understanding of effective teaching and learning theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children through classroom organization, differentiation and learning strategies.
  • Holding a PGCE/ QTS or national recognized teaching license.
  • A degree in English Language and Literature preferred.
  • Team player and be flexible.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for China, including a bachelor degree, non-criminal background check and at least 24 months of teaching experiences.
