Regional IT Support Engineer, Nord Anglia Education China Region Office

JOB PURPOSE: This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure within the designated region. It requires a strong understanding of network infrastructure, expertise in Azure cloud / M365 services, and proficiency in PowerBI. This position will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and implementing IT solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.
REPORTING TO: Regional Head of IT Operation
Responsibilities:
1. Microsoft 365 Service Management:
· Administer and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Teams, etc.
· Monitor and optimize M365 service performance, security settings
2. Azure Cloud Services:
· Monitor Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security
· Work with IT infrastructure team to implement and optimize cloud-based solutions
3. PowerBI Implementation:
· Utilize PowerBI to create and maintain insightful dashboards and reports for decision making purposes
· Train end-users on PowerBI functionalities and promote data-driven decision-making within the region
4. Network Infrastructure Management:
· Implement, and maintain regional network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability
· Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution
5. Technical Support:
· Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users in the region, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues
· Collaborate with the central IT support team to escalate and resolve complex technical problems
6. Security and Compliance:
· Implement and enforce IT security policies to safeguard regional systems and data
· Stay informed about industry best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
7. Documentation:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for network configurations, system changes, and troubleshooting procedures
· Develop and update user guides and documentation for IT-related processes
8. Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate with other IT professionals, both regionally and centrally, to ensure consistency and alignment of IT services
· Communicate effectively with end-users, management, and other stakeholders on IT-related matters
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
· Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role, with a focus on M365 services, Azure cloud, network infrastructure and PowerBI
· Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure certifications)
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
· Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Ali Cloud Platform)
· Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation tasks
