Etqan Global Academy is looking to recruit a Teacher of Business (Pearson BTEC – IBCP Career-related Studies) to join our team in Doha, Qatar.

 

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a values-driven IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Business to deliver Pearson BTEC Business as part of our IBCP Career-related Studies, playing a key role in a growing and purposeful international education environment.

 


 

The role:

 

We seek an individual to join as Teacher of Business where your focus will be:

 

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, applied Business lessons aligned with Pearson BTEC specifications, learning aims, and assessment criteria
  • Designing BTEC-compliant curriculum units and assessment tasks that engage students and meet Pearson quality standards
  • Supporting students through internally assessed assignments, helping them understand assessment criteria and build strong, independent work habits
  • Maintaining accurate assessment and tracking documentation in line with internal quality assurance requirements
  • Working closely with internal quality assurance processes and engaging professionally with external standards verifiers
  • Developing students' communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and enterprise skills through real-world business learning experiences
  • Contributing to the wider IB Career-related Programme and the school community

 


 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, or a related field, and a recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Business or a related subject, ideally at post-16 level
  • Pearson BTEC training and standardisation certificate, or a willingness to undertake this training
  • Understanding of Pearson BTEC assessment, internal quality assurance, and external verification processes
  • The ability to design and deliver applied, coursework-based learning that meets national and international standards
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a professional and collaborative approach
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
  • The ability to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar
