Teacher of Mathematics

Location: Etqan Global Academy, Qatar

Etqan Global Academy is seeking to appoint a Teacher of IBDP Mathematics – Applications & Interpretation to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mathematics teacher to contribute to the delivery of the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), specifically Mathematics Applications & Interpretation (AI). The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening student attainment, developing mathematical reasoning, and supporting learners in applying mathematics confidently to real-world contexts.

• Deliver high-quality IBDP Mathematics AI lessons aligned with IB standards

• Inspire students to develop problem-solving skills and independent thinking

• Support academic excellence through strong assessment and differentiation

• Contribute positively to a collaborative and values-driven school culture

The role:

We seek an individual to join as a Teacher of IBDP Mathematics – Applications & Interpretation, where the focus will be:

• Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics AI lessons at Diploma level

• Developing schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives

• Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback

• Differentiating to meet the needs of diverse learners

• Supporting pastoral provision, including Form Tutor responsibilities where required

• Contributing to curriculum enrichment and wider school activities

• Building strong, professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues

The successful candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field

• A recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level (IBDP experience advantageous)

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• The ability to integrate educational technology to enhance learning

• A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students

Experience in an international school setting is advantageous.
