Job Description
We are currently looking for an exceptional PYP Teacher from August 2026. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as applications will be processed on a rolling basis. Classroom Teaching Responsibilities (80%)

Establish engaging, inquiry-driven classroom environments aligned with the IB philosophy and the school’s mission

Plan and deliver transdisciplinary units within the PYP framework

Model and promote the IB Learner Profile attributes
-
Assess and respond to student progress using a range of strategies
-
Prepare lessons, assessments, and reports aligned with IB and school requirements
-
Use the learning management system effectively

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents
-
Support students’ wellbeing and collaborate with Programme Heads and the School Counsellor when needed
Team Responsibilities (15%)

Collaborate in unit planning, curriculum development, and interdisciplinary projects

Share resources, expertise, and best practices with colleagues
-
Engage in professional development related to IB pedagogy and current educational trends
School-wide Responsibilities (5%)
-
Serve as a Homeroom Teacher
-
Contribute to a positive and supportive school culture
-
Undertake cover lessons and supervision duties as required
-
Attend meetings (staff, subject, interdisciplinary, homeroom) as scheduled
-
Fulfil supervision duties (lunch, arrival/dismissal, bus, break, etc.)
Required Skills/Abilities
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area from an accredited institution
-
Recognized teaching qualification
-
Experience and/or training in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) preferred
-
Valid right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid work visa)
-
Clean and satisfactory police background checks
-
Excellent English proficiency (CEFR level C1–C2)
Experience
-
Minimum of two years of recent and relevant teaching experience in a comparable international or IB school environment

Strong understanding of the IB PYP framework, including:

Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based units aligned with the PYP Programme of Inquiry

Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Effective integration of digital tools to enhance learning

Strong planning and organisational skills
