Established in August 2014 BSY later became part of Nord Anglia Education and its global family of schools. We provide personalised, inspiring learning to students from EYFS- Year 13 offering IPC, IGCSE and A Levels. We link our learning approach and attitude to our four key values:

About the role 

 

We are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our team starting August 2025. BSY Primary is a one-form entry school, and we have recently introduced the IPC to challenge and engage our learners. This role would be perfect for an adaptable, flexible team player with high expectations for our students—someone who can design engaging and challenging learning activities and create a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our team. In addition to delivering engaging and high-quality lessons, the successful candidate will play a key role in organizing and developing the residential trip for the upcoming year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver an engaging Year 6 curriculum that supports both academic and personal growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to develop and refine the residential trip experience.
  • Coordinate logistics, risk assessments, and learning objectives for the residential trip.
  • Communicate with parents and staff regarding trip planning and expectations.
  • Support students in developing independence, resilience, and teamwork.

 

About you 

 

You will be an outstanding, inspirational and resilient practitioner, willing to adapt quickly to a new and vibrant culture and one who builds strong and positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

The successful candidate will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification, and at least two years of teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, continuously seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to elevate the school’s level of achievement.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in or enthusiasm for planning and leading residential trips.
  • A commitment to student well-being and holistic development.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both classroom learning and the development of enriching extra-curricular experiences for our students.

 

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Yangon, Myanmar including you must hold a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate relevant to this post.
