Short Description
Oakridge International School, Gachibowli is seeking a passionate and experienced MYP Individuals & Societies (I&S) Teacher to inspire students through inquiry-based learning and global perspectives. The successful candidate will create engaging learning experiences that develop critical thinking, research skills, and intercultural understanding while fostering the attributes of the IB Learner Profile.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
- Teach Individuals & Societies subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and Global Studies.
- Design inquiry-based and concept-driven learning experiences that encourage analysis and reflection.
- Develop and implement formative and summative assessments using MYP assessment criteria.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and student-centred classroom environment.
- Integrate technology and interdisciplinary approaches to enrich learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, school initiatives, and interdisciplinary units.
- Participate in school events, professional development programmes, and extracurricular activities.
- Uphold the values and philosophy of the International Baccalaureate and contribute positively to the school community.
