Our teachers bring this vision to life through creativity, dedication, and commitment to each child’s unique journey.

Core Purpose and Scope

The Assistant Head (FS1-Y1) core focus is ensuring the well-being and development of the youngest pupils, managing day-to-day routines, and maintaining a strong supportive environment. Ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and care, promoting a smooth and successful transition from foundational learning to formal schooling.

St Andrews offers a warm and inclusive community. The Assistant Head will work closely with families of EYFS and Year 1 children, building positive and supportive relationships to ensure parental partnership in the child's earliest educational steps, serving as the the first point of contact for parents regarding pastoral concerns, well-being, and day-to-day routines.

You will join a strong, well established Leadership Team. Belonging to this team means embracing shared goals and contributing positively to our school community, working closely with academic and support staff to ensure a consistent, high-quality learning environment across classes and year groups aligned with the Early Years philosophy.

You will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Admissions teams to drive growth in the Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting student engagement and achievement by providing high quality material for social media and marketing campaigns.
