Deputy Head of Secondary
100% – Starting August 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Secondary School’s daily operations and strategic development.
  • Provide strategic leadership in curriculum development, assessment, and academic standards.
  • Oversee the Diploma Programme (DP) as DP Coordinator, ensuring exceptional curriculum implementation and IBO compliance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through robust data analysis, academic tracking, and staff training.
  • Support the Head of Secondary in ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects.
  • Lead baseline testing, target setting, and exam performance analysis to drive student success.
  • Oversee the articulation of the curriculum from Primary to lower secondary and DP, ensuring a seamless learning journey.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, ensuring clear communication on academic matters.
  • Lead professional development programs to enhance teaching and assessment practices.
  • Contribute to school-wide strategic planning and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any subject with a PGCE or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership experience in secondary education, with a strong track record of improving academic outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in curriculum development, assessment strategies, and the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Strong ability to inspire and lead teams, creating a culture of high expectations and continuous professional growth.
  • Experience in managing academic budgets and leading school-wide initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Fluency in English; French is a significant advantage.
  • A collaborative and adaptable leader, able to navigate the complexities of an international school environment.
