About the Role
St Andrews International School Bangkok is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Head Technician to lead our maintenance team. In this full-time role, you will manage a team of 7-10 technicians and gardeners, overseeing the maintenance and repair of engineering systems and building facilities. As a key member of the Estates team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school’s infrastructure and facilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage a team of technicians and gardeners.
- Supervise daily maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with established standards.
- Oversee repair and preventative maintenance activities within the department.
- Plan daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules.
- Manage and address system malfunctions promptly.
- Inspect and report on the condition of engineering equipment and systems.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of building engineering systems and equipment.
- Propose and manage the procurement of maintenance-related tools and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Record monthly electricity, water, and gas meter readings.
- Ensure readiness to handle emergencies at all times.
- Coordinate with other building teams, such as security and housekeeping, for efficient service and repairs.
- Collect and maintain equipment manuals for reference.
- Supervise contractors to ensure repair and preventative maintenance activities meet specifications.
- Inspect and maintain all central systems under the department’s responsibility, including electrical, swimming pool, and plumbing systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Estates Manager.
What We’re Looking For
- Male, aged 25 years or older.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in building utilities maintenance is preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical, plumbing, and sanitation blueprints.
- Hardworking, honest, and adept at solving problems under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in preventative maintenance (PM) practices.
- Calm, responsible, and highly disciplined with strong leadership skills.
- Able to work 6 days per week.
