St Andrews International School Bangkok is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator to help us maintain and further enhance the wellbeing of our students, staff, and visitors. What You’ll Do
- Perform regular (weekly, monthly, termly, annually) Health & Safety (H&S) audits, addressing issues proactively and completing Nord Anglia (NA) audits on time.
- Keep department manuals (e.g., PE, Technology, Swimming) up to date; oversee specialist classrooms/facilities, and maintain schedules/records for equipment (e.g., DT, science, sports).
- Conduct risk assessments for classrooms, tech rooms, school sites, and trips; collaborate with Heads of Faculty/Year to implement effective safety measures.
- Organize and track H&S, First Aid, and LifeSaver courses; promote a proactive safety culture through training and awareness campaigns.
- Provide inductions for external sport providers; work closely with Estates, Transportation, and Security to address operational issues and support incident management.
- Audit kitchen practices and guide food vendors on safe handling/storage; coordinate fire/lockdown drills with Estates, ensuring compliance with Nord Anglia Education (NAE) standards.
- Monitor and record injuries or incidents in NA’s Sphera system, documenting on the NAE platform and overseeing follow-up actions.
- Support major school events (e.g., International Day, sports competitions) with H&S expertise; regularly review emergency procedures with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Advise on H&S policies, report updates to SLT, and establish a safety committee to strengthen our culture of wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any field, with proven experience in Health & Safety.
- Excellent command of English, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with varied teams.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Solid organizational skills, including data management, record-keeping, and multi-project coordination.
