ABOUT THE ROLE

We seek a High School Learning Support Teacher who shares our commitment to providing a nurturing, inspiring, and inclusive educational journey for every student. Join us in creating a positive, lasting impact.

At St. Andrews International School Bangkok, we believe knowing each child is at the heart of effective education. Our classrooms are warm, engaging spaces where students feel supported to explore, learn, and grow. Our teachers bring this vision to life through creativity, dedication, and commitment to each child’s unique journey.

As a teacher at St. Andrews, you will nurture the academic and personal growth of your class, adapting teaching methods to meet the individual needs, abilities, and interests of each student. Staying informed on current educational practices, you’ll bring fresh ideas to our curriculum and provide meaningful, regular feedback to parents. Collaboration is central to our approach, and you’ll work closely with colleagues and Heads of Phase to create cohesive learning experiences.

We are looking for a Learning Support Teacher whose primary focus is Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8) to join our vibrant international school community.  In this role, you will work closely with our High School SENCO and under the guidance of the Whole School Director for Learning Support to ensure that every child on our Learning Support Register receives tailored provision and intervention. Your work will directly empower students to overcome challenges to be the best they can be, both academically and socially.

We are seeking someone who brings both professional expertise and a genuine passion for inclusive education. As part of your role, you will champion the needs of students by managing the Learning Support Register for Years 7 and 8. Working collaboratively with Heads of Year, classroom teachers, and support staff to ensure the academic and social-emotional needs of each student are met. You will be supported by our transdisciplinary team of professionals, including the School Counselling and Admissions teams, to ensure cohesive and effective support for every child.

You will plan and deliver evidence-based lessons and interventions that focus on areas such as social communication, emotional regulation, and executive function skills. These sessions will be designed to support students with a variety of challenges, including ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Dyslexia, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

We are looking for someone with a clear understanding of the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle for learning needs and interventions, as well as experience in transition planning and support between Key Stages. You should have the ability to inspire and lead a team of Learning Support Assistants, a strong commitment to evidence-based interventions, and an inclusive approach to education.

Join us, and you’ll find a supportive and inspiring environment where your talents can flourish and your passion for teaching will make a lasting impact.

Collaborating as a Professional Team Member:
Being part of our team means embracing shared goals and contributing positively to our school community. You’ll implement assessment and reporting protocols with integrity and accuracy, supervise students during designated times, and support curriculum development through regular meetings and professional development sessions. Working closely with fellow teachers, you’ll ensure a consistent, high-quality learning environment across classes and year groups.

Professional Development
We prioritise professional growth, offering access to Nord Anglia University’s CPD platform and encouraging collaboration through Professional Learning Communities, Triads, and WalkThrus. With leadership and Masters programme opportunities, we support our teachers in their journey to become lifelong learners.

Building a Welcoming School Community:
Our school is a dynamic environment that encourages curiosity and engagement. As an educator, you’ll make classrooms and shared spaces inviting and stimulating, helping children feel excited to learn and participate. You’ll engage weekly in extracurricular activities, represent the school in the local and international community, and champion our House system by supporting House events.
