ABOUT THE ROLE

St Andrews International School Bangkok is an inclusive school where teachers know their students well and create a warm, supportive environment in which young people grow in confidence and take on meaningful challenges. We are seeking an experienced High School SENCO to coordinate the mainstream Learning Support programme and ensure high-quality inclusive provision for students with additional learning needs.

Reporting to the Whole School Director of Learning Support and Inclusion, the SENCO will lead and monitor Learning Support provision across the High School, supporting students with needs including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, specific learning difficulties, intellectual delay, physical disabilities, and other learning differences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Learning Support provision across the High School.
  • Work with the Whole School Director of Learning Support to implement inclusive practice and strategy.
  • Prepare, implement, and review Individual Learning Plans, Student Support Plans, and Health Care Plans.
  • Monitor student progress through Assess–Plan–Do–Review cycles.
  • Liaise with teachers, families, and external specialists.
  • Lead review meetings and provide progress reports in line with school policy.
  • Support and mentor Learning Support Assistants and teachers.
  • Facilitate team meetings and staff training related to inclusive practice.
  • Maintain Learning Support records, referrals, and exam access arrangements.
  • Support admissions processes and departmental procedures where required.
  • Contribute to resource planning and promote inclusive outcomes for all learners.
