St Andrews International School Bangkok is one of 88 schools in the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family. We offer a British educational curriculum with an international perspective that begins in Nursery and leads up to IGCSE examinations in Year 11, and culminates with the International Baccalaureate Diploma after completing Year 13. Teaching Schedule

Days: 2 days per week (Wednesday and Friday)

Time: 08:00 – 11:30 (3.5 hours/day)

Year Groups: Years 7–9 (Key Stage 3)

Class Size: Small class with mixed proficiency levels—from native-level to those needing additional support
Curriculum Focus

Based on Japanese elementary and junior high school curriculum (Grades 5–8 equivalent)

Emphasis on reading and writing, with integrated speaking and listening

Designed to support future IGCSE and IB Japanese Literature studies

No co-teaching; the teacher will manage the class independently

Requirements

Native Japanese speaker

Experience teaching Japanese as a first language (Kokugo) preferred

Familiarity with IGCSE or IB curriculum is a plus

Confident in teaching independently and adapting to varying student needs
