Job Description

Mathematics Teacher (Maternity Cover: Early April 2026 - October 2026)
St Andrews International School Bangkok is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to cover a maternity leave from early April to October 2026. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working in a supportive international school environment with motivated students and small class sizes. Mathematics is a popular subject at St Andrews and is taught through engaging creative approaches that encourage problem-solving and real-life application. Our classrooms are inclusive and student-centred with a strong focus on knowing each child and supporting their individual learning journey.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5 adapting teaching to meet students' needs abilities and interests. You will plan engaging lessons assess progress effectively and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Collaboration is central to our approach and you will work closely with colleagues and Heads of Subject to design cohesive learning experiences. At Key Stage 3 Mathematics follows the National Curriculum in mixed-ability groups. At Key Stage 4 students study IGCSE Mathematics with opportunities for early entry and Further Pure Mathematics. At Key Stage 5 students study Mathematics as part of the IB Diploma IB Career-related Programme or as a school-based subject. Experience teaching IB Mathematics Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation and or A Level Mathematics is desirable. We welcome applications from teachers new to the profession for whom we offer DfE ECF-based training for Early Career Teachers as well as experienced teachers.

Professional Responsibilities and Development You will contribute positively to the wider school community through assessment reporting supervision duties and curriculum development.
