ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Physical Education Teacher who shares our commitment to providing a nurturing, inspiring, and inclusive educational journey for every student.

Physical Education is a popular and well-established subject at St Andrews. Our students are enthusiastic and engaged, and class sizes are small, allowing for dynamic and student-centred learning.

Our PE curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum, adapted for our context in Thailand. We offer IGCSE PE in Years 10–11 and Sports, Exercise and Health Science as part of the IB Diploma in Years 12–13. We are also exploring a sports focus for our IBCP through the International BTEC Level 3 Sports course.

This is an exciting time to join our PE Department. We are actively expanding both our curriculum and the range of extracurricular opportunities, training, and fixtures available to students. All PE staff contribute fully to the life of the department.

We welcome both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and provide DfE-aligned ECT training. Experience with IB or A-Level Sports Science is an advantage.

As part of our professional team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues, contribute to planning, and ensure high standards in teaching, learning, assessment, and student wellbeing. You’ll also be expected to engage with school life through extracurriculars, student events, and our House system.

We offer excellent CPD through Nord Anglia University, Professional Learning Communities, and opportunities for leadership and postgraduate study. St Andrews is a welcoming school where teachers grow and thrive.

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

St Andrews International School Bangkok is a dynamic, inclusive school in the heart of the city, educating over 2,400 students from Early Years to Year 13 across two vibrant campuses.

We pride ourselves on nurturing a diverse and welcoming community where students, families, and staff feel supported and inspired. Our teachers design a curriculum that celebrates each student’s uniqueness, balancing high standards with tailored support to help every child thrive.

We’re proud of our inclusive ethos and our commitment to students with diverse learning profiles—including those new to English and those with additional educational needs. Our recent accolades include being named a Centre of Excellence by the Inclusion Quality Mark and winning International Provision of the Year at the 2024 NASEN Awards.

At St Andrews, happiness, ambition, and confidence are as important as academic success. We value multiple intelligences and take a multi-sensory approach, making space for creativity, physical activity, and academic challenge in equal measure.

A Vibrant Community
Teachers at St Andrews are more than subject specialists—they are mentors, role models, and community builders. As part of the team, you’ll contribute to our pastoral programme, lead extracurriculars, and take part in trips and House events that bring our school to life.

Our Curriculum
We broadly follow the English National Curriculum with an international outlook. Senior students take IGCSEs and the IB Diploma, with additional pathways including the IB Career-Related Programme and International BTECs.

We’re a tech-forward school, providing each teacher with a personal device and supporting digital learning across the curriculum.

Safeguarding Commitment
We are committed to keeping every student safe. All staff must share this commitment. No appointment will be made without two references (including one from the current or most recent employer), a ten-year criminal record check, and an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) or relevant regional prohibition checks.
