Job Description

Science Technician and Teaching Assistant (High School)  

What You Will Do  
You will support our Science Department by preparing materials and equipment for lessons and assisting teachers in class. This is a dual role requiring lab and classroom support.  

Science Technician Responsibilities  
- Prepare chemicals, materials, and equipment  
- Set up and clear away practicals safely  
- Maintain equipment and safety standards  
- Organize resources and lab spaces  
- Support science events and projects  

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities  
- Assist teachers during lessons  
- Support student learning and safety in labs  
- Help students understand scientific concepts  
- Support students with additional needs  
- Encourage positive classroom behavior  
- Participate in professional development activities  

Who We Are Looking For  
- Degree or training in science or lab technology  
- Experience in a lab or educational setting is preferred  
- Knowledge of lab safety and maintenance  
- Proactive, organized, and a strong team player  
- Passionate about education and student support
