Core Requirements
Hamelin-Laie International School Barcelona is seeking an experienced and dynamic Information Systems Manager to lead the successful implementation and management of various IT systems, including but not limited to ISams, Cpoms, Success Factors, Sphera, Reach, Epraise, School Buddy, etc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the integration, maintenance, and optimization of these systems to enhance operational efficiency and support the school's strategic objectives. Additionally, the Information Systems Manager will be tasked with providing comprehensive staff training, ensuring successful execution with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, teachers, and leaders, maintaining confidentiality, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, and fostering successful relationships with the regional team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Implementation and Integration:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and integration of various IT systems to meet the school's operational and strategic needs.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of IT systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and user guides for IT systems.
2. System Maintenance and Optimization:
- Monitor the performance and functionality of IT systems, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Implement upgrades and enhancements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in all IT systems.
3. Staff Training and Support:
- Provide comprehensive training sessions and ongoing support to students, parents, staff, teachers, and leaders on the use of IT systems as appropriate.
- Develop training materials, manuals, and resources to facilitate effective use of IT systems by all stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT Platform-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
- Support the development of driving a data run school and provide reports as when required for data analysis.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with students, parents, staff, and leaders to gather feedback and assess the effectiveness of IT systems.
- Solicit input from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and enhancement of IT systems.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment of IT initiatives with the school's mission and goals.
5. Confidentiality and Cultural Sensitivity:
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness when interacting with diverse stakeholders, respecting different cultural norms and practices.
6. Relationships with Local and Regional Teams:
- Act as a liaison between the school and all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, students, and local/regional teams.
- Foster strong relationships with local and regional teams to ensure alignment of IT initiatives and objectives with broader organizational goals.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between different stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and use of IT systems.
Skills, knowledge and competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing IT systems, particularly in an educational setting.
- Strong technical proficiency in a variety of IT systems, including ISams, Cpoms, Success Factors, Sphera, Reach, Epraise, School Buddy, Salesforce, Navision BC, Office 365, etc.
- Spanish and English fluency essential
- Catalan fluency preferred
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead complex IT initiatives from planning to execution.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in IT.
