Job Description

Key tasks:

Support teachers in promoting effective teaching and learning in the classroom.

Deliver planned lesson sequences during short periods of teacher absence.

Take responsibility for the care and proper use of equipment.

Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed, including tasks related to transportation, childcare, and daily routines.

Ensure the health and safety of all students.

Accompany students between classrooms and buses.

Actively supervise during recess and lunchtime.

Participate in whole school initiatives when required.

Inspire trust and confidence in students, colleagues, and parents.

Engage and motivate students in their learning.

 

Planning, teaching and class management:

Build a strong presence for their subject within and beyond the English and Student Support faculty.

Continuously work to improve the quality of student learning.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.

Contribute significantly to school development planning and support the learning priorities outlined in the school’s development plan.

Teach students to help them reach their full potential by targeting and supporting individual learning needs, maintaining high standards of behavior and discipline, and creating a purposeful and safe learning environment.

Using modern technology to enhance learning experiences.

Engage with Nord Anglia Education Global Campus online and other opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and competition.

Qualifications / Training:

 Teaching degree (Essentila)

PGCE in Primary Education (Desirable)

 

Experience / Knowledge:

At least two years of teaching experience.

Native-level English proficiency.

Experience in monitoring, assessing, recording, and reporting pupil progress.

Adherence to school policies, particularly those related to equal opportunities, health and safety, and child protection.

Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies. Understanding of how to meet the individual needs of all children through classroom organization and learning approaches.

Ability to work in partnership with parents.

Experience teaching across the entire primary age range.
