Job Description
Job Title: Secondary Chemistry Teacher – IB (MYP/DP) - Maternity Cover
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Secondary Chemistry Teacher to teach the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and/or Diploma Programme (DP). The candidate should be passionate about science education and committed to delivering engaging, inquiry-based learning aligned with IB standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons as per IB MYP/DP curriculum

Prepare lesson plans, practical lab sessions, and assessments in line with IB guidelines

Encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

Maintain lab safety standards and proper documentation

Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school activities
Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field

IB teaching experience preferred (MYP/DP)

Strong subject knowledge and laboratory management skills

Good communication and classroom management abilities
