Job Description
Homeroom Teacher (HRT) – IB PYP
The Homeroom Teacher is responsible for delivering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) by creating a safe, engaging, and inquiry-based learning environment. The teacher plans and implements transdisciplinary units, monitors student progress, and supports the academic, social, and emotional development of learners. The role involves close collaboration with specialist teachers, effective communication with parents, and active participation in school events, assessments, and professional development aligned with IB standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and deliver IB PYP curriculum using inquiry-based approaches

Act as the primary point of contact for students and parents

Monitor, assess, and document student learning and progress

Foster student agency, wellbeing, and positive classroom culture

Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and integration

Participate in school events, meetings, and IB trainings
Key Skills & Requirements
