Job Description of DP English -
Position: DP English Teacher
Programme: International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
Reports To: DP Coordinator / Principal
Role Summary:
Teach English Language and Literature in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, helping students develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while preparing them for IB assessments.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver IB DP English lessons.

Prepare students for Internal Assessments, Individual Oral, and final exams.

Assess student work using IB criteria and provide feedback.

Support students with research and academic writing (including Extended Essay if required).

Participate in curriculum planning, meetings, and professional development.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English.

Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent).

IB DP teaching experience preferred.
Skills:
-
Strong communication and literature teaching skills.

Ability to guide students in critical analysis and academic writing.
