Job Description

In person, mid-level position located at the school campus in Charlotte, NC. Not a hybrid position.

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and creative Business Manager with strong interpersonal and communication skills, together with excellent financial and IT proficiency, to join a supportive team in a successful and expanding school.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the school financial operations in conjunction with the Principal and Regional team. A comprehensive induction and on going, on job training will be given, to align your skills with the systems and processes of NAE financial management.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and committed individual who can-

Financial and Budget Management

  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Efficiently process all AR, AP and cash book transactions
  • Effectively control all student enrolment contracts, billing and cash collections
  • Manage purchase order processing ensuring the correct authorizations are obtained
  • Track and reconcile credit card purchases
  • Manage vendor contracts and leases and oversee renewals and additions ensuring adherence to policies and authorization limits
  • Manage the capital appraisal and expenditure process ensuring that an appropriate business case is developed and a capex approval form raised and correctly authorized
  • Ensure the security of the school’s assets and accuracy of the fixed asset register
  • In conjunction with the Principal and School’s Senior Leadership team produce the annual budgets in line with the school business goals
  • Monitor the budget ensuring the school maintains costs within agreed budget levels and produce internal reports as needed
  • Manage the monitoring and forecast process for the school, working with Regional Finance to produce the required templates and reports
  • Ensure that profit improvement is a key part of the budget process, driving enrolment and revenue, eliminating waste and ensuring best value for money
  • Ensure effective internal controls that adhere to the Groups finance policies and implement new procedures as necessary
  • Ensure you keep up to date with local accounting, tax and other statutory regulations and file local statutory returns as appropriate with above
