Job Purpose: The Head of High School leads the section to ensure academic, administrative, and organizational excellence, aligned with institutional goals and national (UNAM‑DGIRE) and international (IB) standards. This role promotes a safe, innovative, and collaborative learning environment, supports the professional development of teachers, strengthens the school community, and ensures compliance with educational regulations while providing high‑quality attention to students and families.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the High School section, ensuring academic quality and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the implementation of IB and UNAM‑DGIRE academic programs in coordination with relevant leaders.
- Supervise teaching practices, lesson planning, and teacher evaluation and development.
- Lead administrative processes, resource management, and compliance with institutional policies.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and organized school environment.
- Strengthen relationships with students, parents, and staff, fostering a strong sense of community.
- Ensure compliance with official regulations and support enrollment continuity and student progression.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education, Pedagogy, Psychology, or a related field.
- English proficiency at C1 level.
- Minimum 3 years in academic leadership or coordination roles at the upper secondary level.
- Experience implementing IB and UNAM‑DGIRE programs.
- Proven experience managing teaching and administrative teams.
- Background in strategic planning, staff evaluation, and school operations.
- Strong organizational leadership and strategic vision.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and decision‑making skills.
- Knowledge of national and international pedagogical models and regulations.
- Expertise in teacher development, school management, and academic platforms.
- Collaborative leadership style, ethical commitment, and service orientation.
- Capacity to promote innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
