Joining our team as an MYP/DP Physics Teacher means delivering exceptional learning experiences that inspire curiosity, develop critical thinking, and prepare students for success in further education and beyond.
You will work within a dynamic Science Department to deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). You will also contribute to our wider school life through co-curricular activities, pastoral care, and collaborative professional learning.
THE ROLE

Teach Physics to MYP and DP students, ensuring high expectations and ambitious outcomes for all learners.

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with IB requirements, making effective use of assessment to inform teaching and track progress.

Differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs, including EAL and AEN learners.

Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.

Foster a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity.

Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum, resources, and enrichment opportunities.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across the school.

Actively participate in school events, trips, and co-curricular activities.

Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing at all times.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

A fully qualified teacher with a degree in Physics (or related field) and a recognised teaching qualification.

Proven experience teaching Physics at IB MYP and DP level, ideally in an international school setting.

A passion for science education and the ability to inspire and motivate young people.

Strong understanding of the IB philosophy, assessment principles, and inquiry-based learning.

Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Skilled at integrating educational technology into lessons to enhance learning.
