Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with IBDP/ IGCSE standards for Chemistry.
  • Foster inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.
  • Plan and implement rigorous units of work that integrate global contexts and real-world applications.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform teaching.
  • Analyze student data to identify trends and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain high expectations for behavior and academic performance.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding achievement and wellbeing.
  • Contribute actively to the wider school community and extracurricular programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification and experience with the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Strong understanding of interdisciplinary learning and sustainability concepts.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
