Job Description
The MYP Math Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP). The teacher will inspire curiosity and critical thinking through inquiry-based learning and differentiated instruction, fostering both academic excellence and the holistic development of students. As a key member of the academic team, the MYP Math Teacher is expected to contribute to curriculum development, collaborate with colleagues, and actively participate in the broader school community.

Key Team: Head of Mathematic Department
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that align with the MYP framework and departmental objectives.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to support student learning, including differentiation, scaffolding, and technology integration.
- Promote inquiry-based learning and encourage students to make meaningful connections between mathematical concepts and real-life contexts.
- Regularly assess, record, and report on student progress, using formative and summative tools in line with school policies.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment that promotes student responsibility and learning.
- Collaborate with department members and interdisciplinary teams to ensure curriculum coherence and continuous improvement.
- Participate actively in school-wide initiatives, faculty meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the school’s extracurricular program as required and engage with students beyond the classroom to support their overall development.

Require Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified teaching qualification with recognized status.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of successful classroom teaching experience, ideally within an international or IB MYP setting.
- Experience using technology to support and enhance learning.
- Proven ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs, including EAL and SEN students.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High level of English proficiency (spoken and written).
- A deep understanding of child development, international education, and the MYP philosophy.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaborative practice.
