Job Purpose: Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction in alignment with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) framework. The teacher fosters a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through inquiry-based learning. 

An MYP IB Math teacher's professional duties encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at delivering high-quality education and supporting the holistic development of students.

QUALIFICATIONS  

Essential  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. 

• Teaching Certification or equivalent qualification. 

• A Master’s Degree in Education or Mathematics is often preferred but not required. 

Additional Desirable Qualifications 

• IB MYP Certification or completion of IB-approved professional development in MYP Mathematics. 

• Fluency in English, depending on the school’s context, Spanish is a plus. 

• Experience in leading extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or STEM initiatives. 

EXPERIENCE 

• Teaching experience in secondary education, preferably in an IB setting. 

• Familiarity with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework, particularly its inquiry-based and concept-driven approach. 

• Experience in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs.
