General Purpose
The Secondary Physical Education Teacher is responsible for delivering a high-quality and inclusive PE curriculum that supports the physical, social, and emotional development of students. This role focuses on creating meaningful learning experiences that align with the school’s vision of nurturing global citizens. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching practices, support student progress through ongoing assessment, and contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
Report to: Secondary Principal
Key Team: Athletics and ECAs Department
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a first-language PE curriculum aligned with school standards.
- Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate lessons that address diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and improve departmental practices.
- Monitor, assess, and report student progress using formative and summative assessment tools.
- Use student data to inform instruction and support individual learning needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment in alignment with school policies.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and report to stakeholders as needed.
- Attend and actively participate in departmental and school-wide meetings.
- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Contribute to whole-school learning initiatives and professional goals.

Required Skills/Abilities
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field (required)
- Postgraduate qualification (desirable)
Experience:
- At least three years of teaching experience, preferably in Secondary
- Experience in international education (desirable)
