We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Faculty Lead of English and Media to join our vibrant BVIS HCMC team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Faculty in driving high standards of teaching and learning.
- Coach and mentor faculty staff to improve classroom practice.
- Observe lessons and share best practices across the team.
- Assist in curriculum planning, policy development, and faculty improvement plans.
- Monitor student progress and lead interventions for underperforming students.
- Contribute to schemes of work and ensure alignment with exam specifications.
- Communicate effectively with parents and pastoral teams.Lead or support extra-curricular activities and faculty events.
What we're looking for
- Degree plus teaching qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of recent classroom teaching experience.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and A Level specifications.
- Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and outstanding classroom practice.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- High level of IT competence and willingness to integrate technology into learning.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Positive outlook, adaptability, and proactive approach to school improvement.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
