We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Phase Leader to join our vibrant BVIS HCMC team. 

 

Key Responsibilities

As EYFS Phase Leader, you will:

  • Lead and inspire the EYFS department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning

  • Deliver creative, stimulating lessons that support early development and inspire curiosity.

  • Maintain high expectations and foster strong relationships with students and staff.

  • Oversee assessment, tracking, and reporting for EYFS progress.

  • Line manage and mentor EYFS teachers, developing leadership within the team.

  • Collaborate on curriculum planning and contribute to strategic development as part of the Primary Senior Leadership Team.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and lead EYFS events and celebrations.

  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards across all EYFS environments.

What we're looking for

  • A relevant degree plus teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent classroom teaching experience.
  • Proven leadership experience and middle leadership training.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development.
  • Outstanding classroom practice and ability to differentiate for diverse learners.
  • Knowledge of EAL teaching and experience with international curricula.
  • High level of IT competence and ability to integrate technology into learning.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Positive outlook, adaptability, and proactive approach to school improvement.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
