DEPUTY HEAD
Location: NORD ANGLIA SCHOOL JAKARTA
NAS Jakarta is looking to recruit a DEPUTY HEAD to join our Senior Leadership Team and to drive excellent teaching and learning across our school.
This is an exciting opportunity to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens, who will change our world for the better. You will benefit our students and people, through our programmes such as the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and our collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF, IMG and King’s College London.
About the school
For more than fifty years, the Nord Anglia School Jakarta has offered a high quality international education to children aged from 1.5 to 12 years on an attractive, green campus located in a quiet residential district of South Jakarta (Kemang – Ampera Raya) in Indonesia. Since May 2017, NAS Jakarta has been a proud member of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, offering an outstanding programme to both expatriate and Indonesian children. The role:
A key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide direction, inspiration, and guidance to our primary teaching staff. Focused on developing a high performing team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school, supported by the Early Years Coordinator. We will look to you to promote high expectations for our students, aligned to our school values.

About you
With the ability to drive excellence by valuing and developing others, you will be a qualified teacher with extensive experience of both hands-on teaching and leadership in education. This means you will be fully up to date with curriculum developments. Strong on professional learning and people management, you will have a flair for setting and meeting challenging performance targets.
Able to work with a high degree of cultural sensitivity in our changing and fast-paced international environment, you will have the ability to use a range of communication strategies and channels.
A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop creative ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community.
You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Indonesia, including at least 5 years’ teaching experience.
