Exciting opportunities at NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG: We are expanding our Secondary in opening a state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre (August 2026) offering IBDP, A-Levels, and BTEC programmes.

We are seeking passionate Secondary Science Technician across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 to inspire student-led learning and leave a lasting legacy. 

NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is looking to recruit a SCIENCE TECHNICIAN to join our Secondary team, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the subject of PE.

The role:

As a qualified Science Technician your focus will be to:

  • Liaise with staff over equipment and stock
  • Be familiar with all Health and Safety requirements
  • Prepare materials and equipment for Science lessons efficiently
  • Maintain Science laboratory and prep room, equipment and services in good order
  • Carry out risk assessments / safety checks
  • Prepare chemicals and solutions
  • Maintain stocks of Science chemicals and equipment
  • Routine maintenance
  • Experience and qualifications relating to working on Microbiology experiments using autoclaves and incubators would be advantageous.

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary education or vocational training
  • Science qualification
  • Technician training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent written and spoke English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the wider school community
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Experience of working with students in different settings
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of Child Protection or Safeguarding procedures
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
  • You’d like to work in a purpose-led sector.
  • Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for working.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
