Nord Anglia International School, Hong Kong, is entering an exciting phase of growth with the launch of our new 6th Form Centre. To support this continued development, we are seeking two exceptional leaders to join our Secondary Leadership Team:
- Deputy Head of Secondary (6th Form)
- Deputy Head of Secondary (Years 7–11)

The Roles:
As experienced and passionate school leaders, our Deputy Heads of Secondary will:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of their respective areas within Secondary.
- Support and inspire teachers to achieve the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Drive academic excellence, wellbeing, and innovation aligned with the school’s values and vision.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community.
- Champion initiatives that empower students to “Leave a Legacy” through leadership, service, and creativity.
Deputy Head of Secondary (6th Form) will specifically:
- Oversee the successful launch and development of our innovative new 6th Form Centre.
- Manage multiple pathways, including A Level, IBDP, and BTEC programmes.
- Shape a 6th Form experience that fosters independence, leadership, and global awareness.
Deputy Head of Secondary (Years 7–11) will focus on:
- Ensuring outstanding progress and wellbeing across the middle and upper secondary years.
- Coordinating high-quality delivery of the IGCSE curriculum.
- Fostering a culture of curiosity, resilience, and student voice.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven leadership in a UK or international setting.
- Deep understanding of the English National Curriculum, IGCSE, IB, A Level, or BTEC frameworks.
- A track record of raising standards and leading innovative practice.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and data-informed decision-making skills.
- A commitment to wellbeing, character education, and safeguarding.
- Qualified to Bachelor of Education or appropriate Degree with PGCE;
- Qualified teacher with experience teaching in a UK and/or international environment;
- Other management and leadership qualifications appropriate to the role;
- Minimum of 10 years’ teaching experiences and evidence of successful previous leadership responsibilities;
- Knowledge and understanding of students’ learning and development
- Knowledge and awareness of current educational developments
- Evidence of knowledge and understanding of wider educational developments
- Knowledge and experience in raising standards for all groups of students
- How to plan, deliver, monitor, and evaluate lessons and learning as part of the school curriculum
- Knowledge of the English National Curriculum, IBDP, BTEC and related subject knowledge and pedagogy;
- Knowledge of assessment and reporting procedures
- Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level, BTEC and IB syllabus and all associated examination arrangements
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of students
- Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
- Compliance with visa requirements for working.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
