Job Description

In Colegio Peruano Británico, we are looking a highly proficient English-speaking teacher to join our vibrant and committed team. The successful candidate will teach English from Grade 6 to Grade 11, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Grades 10 and 11.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that align with IB curriculum standards

  • Provide ongoing formative assessment, offering clear and constructive feedback to both students and parents

  • Collaborate closely with the Subject Area Coordinator, Head of Level, and Director of Studies to ensure academic excellence

  • Contribute to a holistic school experience through assigned supervision duties, social projects, study trips, and wellbeing initiatives

  • Serve as a Tutor to support students’ academic and personal development (as needed)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fluency in English (native level)

  • Experience teaching English, ideally within an IB or international context

  • Passion for student growth and a proactive approach to feedback and support

  • Ability to foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Deep knowledge of English language and literature, and ability to adapt teaching for diverse learners
  • Familiarity with IB philosophy and experience with IBDP (Group 1 or 2 subjects) is a strong advantage

  • Strong classroom management and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with attention to detail

  • Ability to give constructive, formative feedback and adjust instruction accordingly

  • Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues

  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and openness to continuous learning

  • Passionate about student wellbeing, personal development, and international-mindedness
