At Colegio Peruano Británico, part of the prestigious global family Nord Anglia Education, we are looking for the 2026 school year for an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Studies Teacher (Upper School, Grades: 6 to 9), with a strong academic background and teaching experience, who can inspire students to understand the world through historical analysis, critical thinking, and global perspectives.

Purpose of the role:
To plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Social Studies lessons that foster analytical skills, cultural awareness, and civic responsibility, while promoting intellectual curiosity and academic excellence within a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver Social Studies lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Promote critical thinking through the analysis of historical events, geographic concepts, and social issues.
• Encourage inquiry-based learning and interdisciplinary connections.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Develop engaging activities and projects that strengthen students’ understanding of global and local contexts.
• Integrate inclusive and differentiated strategies to support diverse learners.
• Collaborate with teachers from other subject areas to design cross-curricular projects.
• Actively participate in extracurricular activities, workshops, or humanities-related initiatives.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, with a specialization or diploma in History, Geography, or Social Studies.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Native English speaker preferred, or equivalent native-level proficiency.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to innovation and student-centered learning.
