Job Purpose:

To promote the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff by providing immediate medical care, managing health-related situations, supporting preventive health programs, and ensuring compliance with school health and child protection standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance in cases of illness, accidents, or emergencies during school hours.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, incident reports, and health documentation.
  • Support health promotion initiatives, including hygiene, nutrition, vaccination, and disease prevention campaigns.
  • Manage medical supplies, medications, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, parents, and the school doctor regarding student health concerns.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities, first aid training, and child protection initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Technical Degree in Nursing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is desirable.
  • Additional training in first aid, emergency response, and child protection is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role.
  • Experience in educational institutions, schools, or pediatric healthcare settings is desirable.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of first aid, emergency care, and basic healthcare procedures.
  • Understanding of medication management, medical documentation, and health protocols.
  • Knowledge of school hygiene, safety regulations, and child health practices.
  • Excellent communication, organization, confidentiality, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies
