Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced School Counselor to join our educational team at the High School level with the IB Diploma Program[BI1] . The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional committed to the academic, personal, and social wellbeing of students, with a deep understanding of the IB Diploma Program’s demands.

The Counselor will be responsible for providing emotional, academic, and professional support to High School students, guiding them in their personal development and in making important decisions regarding their education and professional future. The role also involves offering guidance on stress management, social skills, and handling difficult situations, in alignment with the values and approaches of the IB

Long Description

Academic and Career Counseling:

Meeting with students to discuss their academic goals, interests, and career aspirations

Helping students develop effective study habits and time management skills

Providing guidance on course selection and academic planning

Assisting students in exploring potential career paths and preparing for post-graduation plans

Financial Aid and Scholarship Support:

Providing information on available financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, and loans

Assisting students in completing financial aid applications

Helping students identify and apply for scholarships

Standardized Testing Preparation:

Providing information on standardized tests, such as the SAT, ACT, IELTS and their importance in the college application process

Helping students prepare for standardized tests through workshops and practice materials

Collaboration and Communication:

Working with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success

Maintaining strong relationships with colleges and universities

Communicating effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders

Other Responsibilities:

Tracking student progress toward college and career readiness

Staying up-to-date on college admission trends and policies

Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge
