Job Purpose:
Support the Middle School Principal in leading a safe, structured, and high-performing learning environment aligned with the IB philosophy and school standards. The Vice Principal oversees daily academic, behavioral, and operational processes while fostering a positive school culture and strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the school's mission, values, and IB philosophy.
- Lead student behavior, attendance, wellbeing, and discipline systems.
- Monitor teaching and learning practices through classroom observations and teacher support.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Build strong partnerships with students, families, and staff.
- Oversee daily school operations, schedules, teacher coverage, and school events.
- Support safeguarding initiatives and student protection practices.
- Collaborate with IB Coordinators and support teams to ensure student success.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (required).
- Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
- IB Training, workshops, or certifications (preferred).
Experience
- 3 to 4 years of teaching experience.
- Previous experience in academic coordination, student management, or school leadership roles.
- Experience working within IB frameworks, preferably MYP.
- Experience managing school operations, student behavior, and parent relationships.
- Advanced English proficiency.
