SENIOR FP&A ANALYST

 

JOB LOCATION: Hybrid (Miami, US)

 

JOB PURPOSE

 

In conjunction with the Regional Head of FP&A, Regional Management Accountants and School Finance Directors, you’ll help us to maximise the short- and long-term EBITDA goals for the organisation through the development and provision of insightful, accurate and timely financial analysis. You will also work cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, HR and Academic functions to drive data into insights into action and get the opportunity to work on key projects, build dashboards and improve processes supporting this goal. This role requires a high degree of independence and accountability, with the ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and deliver high-quality insights with minimal supervision.

 

As a genuine team-player, you’ll work together with our central, regional, and local finance teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our reporting and forecasting processes. You will serve as a key liaison between our functions and provide insights through data, dashboards and make actionable recommendations to management on these insights and process improvement.

Your role will impact the organisation by ensuring that key stakeholders receive the required information to make timely strategic and operational decisions to maximise the value of the organisation.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Business Analysis and Reporting

  • Assist on the analysis of financial data to better understand historical performance and to project future financial performance, including analysis of pre- and post-acquisition reviews, cost saving initiatives and school expansion projects.
  • Assist on the analysis of non-financial data to better understand key underlying drivers to our business and highlight key insights while proposing calls to action with senior leadership. Work collaboratively with our functions on their requirements including ad-hoc projects relating to these insights and data.
  • Analysis of monthly business performance providing details of key variances and any corrective action required enabling region and local functions to make more informed decisions.
  • Delivering the production of accurate and timely consolidated financial and non-financial results to Region SLT. A focus on scrutinising and reviewing school information to understand the financial and operational performance and key drivers of the regional results
  • Create and continuously improve on current reporting packs to deliver greater and meaningful cross-functional insights to regional and local stakeholders. Data into Insights into Action.

 

Business Strategy and Planning

  • Support the Head of FP&A in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for our operating units by completing analysis and ensuring accurate and timely information is provided. Proactively drive assigned workstreams, demonstrating ownership from initial analysis through delivery, while seeking guidance only when needed. Requires cross collaboration with our functions to lead a collaborative process, building on data and insights.
  • Analysis of flow-through and operational excellence metrics providing key variances, trends and highlighting any corrective action required by schools.
  • Strong emphasis on visualising data in delivering analysis to non-finance functions
  • Create and manage Cross Functional Key Performance Indicators on a weekly and monthly basis for distribution to the Region’s Senior Leadership Team

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong academic and intellectual background, degree level.
  • Finance or Business-related degree
  • EXPERT level Microsoft Excel, complex formulas and data analysis experience
  • Highly computer literate with finance systems knowledge.
  • Inquisitive and willing to challenge assumptions and detail provided by Schools.
  • An efficient, organized team player with an attention to detail, looking to continue to grow and develop your career in finance within a dynamic team. You will also be adaptable to change, quick to learn new systems and processes, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment with limited direction.
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
