Job Description

LITERACY COACH

Job Purpose

Provide support in the implementation of best literacy developmentally appropriate practices in the Early Childhood setting.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Skills: Demonstrate the leadership experience, organizational skills, and communication abilities to effectively coach and support teachers and their instructional teams.
Knowledge: Deep knowledge about reading and literacy development in young children and developmentally appropriate instruction and best practices for children.
Experience: Experience in helping children develop literacy skills; demonstrate a deep understanding of scientifically based reading research, reading development in young children, and developmentally appropriate instruction for children.
Education: Master’s degree in education field and three or more years of successful professional teaching experience teaching literacy.
Mastery in English language written and oral communication
