Prague British International School | Nord Anglia Education
At PBIS, we do not just teach Design — we engineer ideas, prototype innovation and bring creativity into the real world.
We are seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking MYP and IGCSE Design Teacher to strengthen our MYP Design principles and play a pivotal role in developing IGCSE Design Technology as it enters its second year as a growing subject. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate specialist to help shape the future of Design at PBIS, with the potential to introduce the subject at IB Diploma level in the years ahead.
Why PBIS?
PBIS is a leading international school with students from over 60 nationalities, offering the IB continuum and IGCSE programmes. Here, Design is hands-on, conceptual and future-focused. You will build strong MYP Design foundations rooted in inquiry, iteration and innovation, and lead the continued development of IGCSE Design Technology as it becomes an established programme.
You will also help shape the pathway towards a future IB Diploma Design offering and bring Design to life through STEAM enrichment projects and real-world applications. You will inspire globally minded students who are creative, analytical and solution-driven, while working in a supportive and innovative environment that values professional autonomy and collaboration.
As part of Nord Anglia Education, you will benefit from world-class professional development, global collaboration and access to cross-school partnerships that enrich Design and STEAM learning.

As part of our STEAM-focused curriculum, you will strengthen and refine our MYP Design programme in line with IB principles, while continuing to build and embed IGCSE Design Technology in its second year. You will also help prepare the groundwork for a potential future IB Diploma Design pathway.
You will deliver rigorous and engaging lessons grounded in the design cycle and iterative thinking, developing students’ skills in prototyping, modelling and evaluation. You will contribute to collaborative curriculum planning, moderation and future programme development, and build strong professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
You will also contribute to a wide range of STEAM enrichment opportunities, including architectural design projects and sustainable urban planning challenges, 3D modelling and CAD design using industry-standard software, and product design with rapid prototyping through laser cutting and 3D printing. Additional opportunities include robotics and microcontroller-based innovation such as smart devices, sustainable materials research and eco-design competitions, furniture and interior design briefs with real client contexts, engineering challenges and cross-curricular science collaborations, and design showcases and innovation exhibitions.
