Job Purpose:
Design and implement meaningful and challenging learning experiences aligned with national (UNAM) and international (IB) curricula, fostering students’ academic, personal, and social development in a safe, ethical, and collaborative environment, while preparing them for advanced studies and future career paths.
Responsibilities:
Academic: Plan, deliver, and evaluate Biology lessons aligned with UNAM and IB curricula, using diverse strategies, assessing student performance, and supporting different learning needs while promoting critical thinking.
Teach high-quality classes, maintain a safe and organized classroom, manage lab materials, and supervise students throughout the school day.
Plan lessons, collaborate with colleagues, adapt resources, assess progress, and participate in meetings and school activities.
Adjust instruction based on student progress, apply varied assessment methods, record grades, and supervise student behavior during events.
Comply with school policies, update IB plans, complete professional development, and fulfill end-of-year requirements.
Administrative: Keep accurate records, communicate student progress, participate in meetings, and ensure confidentiality.
Operational: Manage classroom behavior, supervise students, report incidents, attend IB training, and maintain professional and ethical standards.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field (aligned with UNAM and IB requirements).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in Biology or a related subject. Experience in differentiated instruction and multiple learning styles.
