Job Description

Location: Nova South, London

 

Job Purpose:
Work closely with the Regional Finance Director to maximise EBITDA goals through accurate business unit accounts, consolidated reports, and strategic business plans. This role emphasises providing analysis, insights, and recommendations to enhance business performance. Lead monthly management account reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting while collaborating closely with the Regional Financial Controller.

Regional Finance Director – Europe

 

Direct Reports:
Financial Planning and Analysis Assistant (as required)

 

Other Key Relationships:
Group Financial Controller, School Business/Finance Managers, Principals

 

 

Key Result Areas:

 

  1. Business Growth and Reputation:

    • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and consolidated reports for regional and board presentations.
    • Develop financial models for new business evaluations and capital expenditures.
    • Ensure accurate variance analysis and monthly capital expenditure reporting.

    Performance Measurement:

    • Timely delivery of business planning models.
    • High integrity in forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
  2. Strategic & Organisational Leadership:

    • Collaborate with group finance and IT to improve systems and processes.
    • Ensure accurate consolidation of new acquisitions into reporting structures.

    Performance Measurement:

    • Adherence to group policies and accurate finance system reporting.
  3. Business Improvement Management:

    • Identify business opportunities and risks, implementing management plans.

    Performance Measurement:

    • Timely and appropriate performance monitoring and reporting.
  4. Operational Expertise & Resource Management:

    • Produce accurate management accounts and business information for group reporting.
    • Conduct detailed monthly reviews of school performance and risk management.

    Performance Measurement:

    • Accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting.
  5. Developing Talent:

    • Drive employee engagement and develop direct reports' skills.

    Performance Measurement:

    • Team retention and performance.

 

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Strong academic background, degree level.
  • Extensive experience in reporting, consolidation, and business planning, ideally in the Education sector.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software (OneStream, Navision).
  • CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CGMA, CPA qualified.
