Job Description
-
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons aligned with the school curriculum.

Ensure effective classroom and sports environment management, maintaining high standards of student behaviour and engagement.

Assess, record and monitor student progress using appropriate assessment strategies.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including students with English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Set clear learning objectives and provide constructive feedback to support student development.

Contribute to extracurricular activities, sports events, school trips and wider school initiatives.

Prepare and present student reports in a professional and timely manner.

Support parental engagement by communicating students’ progress and next steps effectively.

Actively participate in professional development opportunities and training programmes.

Contribute positively to the school community and uphold safeguarding standards.
Required Skills/Abilities
-
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field with teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent).

Proven experience teaching PE in Primary years.

Strong curriculum knowledge and understanding of effective PE teaching strategies.

Ability to use assessment data to improve student outcomes.
-
Knowledge of EAL strategies to support non-native English speakers.

Strong classroom management skills.
-
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

High level of personal integrity and professionalism.
Desirable:
-
International teaching experience.
-
At least two years of teaching experience in PE.

Experience with IB or other international curriculum.
